33 Convictions for U.K. Stalking Laws

Back in November of 2012, stalking became a crime in Great Britain. One expects that there would be plenty of conviction after that since there are a lot of people complaining about it. But statistics show that the law has only resulted in 33 convictions so far.

The 33 convictions seems low for a law that aims to protect mostly women from male sexual predators.

According to an article from news.sky.com, “According to the British Crime Survey, there are around 120,000 predominantly vulnerable female victims of stalking each year.”
