Death of Portland Woman Ruled a Homicide

The death of a Portland woman in Hawaii last month was ruled a homicide according to the authorities.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that the 28-year-old Ivanice Harries died from an injury to her neck. The toxicology results revealed traces of marijuana in her system.

Harris’ body was found by police in Waianae, Hawaii on May 20 four days after she went missing from a bar in Waikiki. Her family said she was in Hawaii for a vacation with her boyfriend and another friend to celebrate her 29th birthday.

Nathaniel Cosby, 38 years of age and a member of the US Marine Corps, was arrested on June 5 in connection with Harris’ death, police said but was released after two days as he was not formally charged.
