Death of Son Inspires Mother to Conduct Research

A mother has lost her only son in 2007. Now, she hopes to use this tragic experience to help other parents who are also grieving over the loss of their children.

Judy Hefren, a doctoral candidate at Florida State University, College of Social Work, is conducting a study to better understand the significance and value that parents associate to the belongings of their children who have passed away. She is currently looking for volunteers who would like to share their experiences over the matter by answering a survey.
