Fire Captain Faces DUI and Other Charges

Jackson Neall III of Oceanic City, is facing DUI, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other charges.

According to the Galloway Patch, Neall’s 1997 Ford pickup was stopped at a checkpoint at about 1:32 a.m on July 6. Police found a multi-colored glass pipe with burned residue.

According to Ocean City Fire Chief Chris Breunig, an internal investigation is ongoing. While he couldn’t speak any further about what possible job action could result from a potential conviction, he said the department is working to support Neall as an individual.

Breunig said that Neall lost his home to Superstorm Sandy and has admitted to a substance abuse problem. He is presently receiving treatment.
