Man Sentenced for DUI Crash that Injured Two People

A Paramount man who admitted he was under the influence when he drove his BMW into two men resulting in each victim losing limbs was sentenced to five years and four months in state prison, according to officials.

Terrence Conrad Meeks, 40, was sentenced after he pleaded no contest in June to getting behind the wheel at about 3:30 a.m. on March 10. He slammed into a parked Mini Cooper, pinning two men who were standing in front of the car.

The impact of the crash severed both of the legs of one victim and crushed the right leg of the other victim so bad that it had to be amputated.
