Tablets for Convicts

The Attorney General of  Maryland, who is also a gubernatorial hopeful, has many ideas for his state. He has a plan on how to keep inmates from committing crimes again once they are released.

Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler wants all inmates to have tablets. He believes that access to technology would keep them away from prison. He believes that once the inmates all have tablets they would educate themselves so they would no longer have to commit crime.
According to Erin Cox for The Baltimore Sun, “The gubernatorial hopeful says the wireless devices would replace brick-and-mortar libraries and classrooms in the state’s prison system, providing each inmate with an Android tablet that could connect with e-books, the state’s library system, law resources and online learning programs.”
