Grandma Arrested for DUI

The Knox County state police received a call at nine in the morning on Saturday about a single vehicle crash which injured two adults and two children. Brandy Parker, 40 years old, was driving a Chevrolet when she drove off the edge of the roadway into the median.

Also inside the vehicle were Parker’s boyfriend Hurley Manning and her three and four year-old granddaughters. The children were in the backseat and wearing only a lap belt. They sustained minor cuts to their face. All four were taken to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

After further investigation, she revealed that she was under the influence of methamphetamine. She was taken to the Knox County jail where she’s charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, and child restraint violation.
