Senior Citizen Arrested on a Felony Charge

A 77-year old man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly battered a man who was seated in an electronic shopping cart. William Golladay became enraged when John Malherbe, a 66-year-old disabled shopper, was trying to place 22 items on a 20-items-or-less express lane.

The victim said that Golladay stood behind him and started counting the items and began yelling at him after finding out that he exceeded the number of items. The two senior citizens exchanged heated arguments.

Golladay retreated to his shopping cart but then resumed yelling and approached the victim and internationally pushed the metal shopping cart hitting his right elbow. Golladay was released the next day after a $2500 bond.
